I sat in your lap, yin yang, and spoke the words, "I want to marry you — I want babies and a life with you." You looked at me and held my vulnerability with your eyes. It's a mutual desire.
My lesson in all of this is that no matter how deeply two people love each other, it doesn't change the circumstances. Our love didn't change the fact that you won't leave the wife you hate because of the kids. Love isn't a magic wand that makes everything work out. Sometimes it's incredibly cruel and dangles everything you have ever wanted right in front of your face. Next time I wont be so naïve.
